This concept was made to tackle a big problem with large companies like IKEA - distributed teams. As IKEA has many offices and stores around the world, it is quite difficult to organise any natural communication between these locations. The word FIKA is Swedish for "taking a break while socializing" and was a perfect name for this solution. There would be a life feed screen in each location from where co-workers could select a location to communicate with. This solution would also work for mass presentations and events.
