IKEA Personas

2015

Creating personas is hard work but it's necessary. By creating personas that represents different user types is immensely useful, not only for designing but also as a communication tool when presenting to stakeholders. Nothing is as powerful as a statements, needs, frustrations from the customer. By creating these personas, it also helped us understand that we had to design for different type of users at once. We put this on our workplace wall to remind us who we were working for. Not our bosses but for our users. We ended up creating 6 personas during this project.
